The following lessons types are offered:

Open Classes: (Introductory through Advanced levels): Approximately 3 – 4 classes every Quarter

See More
  • Who can join: Anyone, no matter your skill level. Open to the public and BSG members.
  • What happens for Introductory students: You’ll learn how to create foundational styles of ikebana arrangements. You can either use our share containers and tools or buy your own containers and tools at the beginning of the class.
  • What happens for Advanced students: These lessons dive deeper into foundational and advanced arrangement styles. Forms are from the Ohara School curriculum aligned with the certificate level that you are at. It’s an opportunity to focus on advanced techniques and to advance your training.

Advanced Classes: An additional 3 – 4 classes every Quarter

  • NOTE: Access through the Members page and use the Advanced Student Promo Code from your instructor to see the tickets.
  • Who can join: You need an invitation, an active BSG membership and an Advanced certificate.
  • What happens: These lessons dive deeper into advanced arrangement styles. Forms are from the Ohara school curriculum aligned with the certificate level that you are at. It’s a more focused experience to advance your training.

Advanced Friday’s Flowers: An additional 2 – 3 classes every Quarter

  • Who can join: You need an invitation, an active BSG membership and an Advanced certificate or equivalent experience.
  • What happens: You get to choose your arrangement style from forms you already know and bring your own floral materials. These sessions can be a social gathering or count toward Ohara School credits, with pricing options.
